Battle Area Clearance (BAC)

The main purpose of BAC is to detect explosive ordnance through visual inspection or by using specialized technical equipment. The operations are carried out after the Bozena 4+ machines have passed.

BAC Process

Visual inspection, search, and detection of explosive ordnance

The process can be performed entirely manually or partially with the use of a Bozena 4+ machine, which significantly speeds up and reduces the cost of operations.

At the International Demining Service, the work is carried out by certified demining teams equipped with all necessary tools.

Main Components of the Process

Preparation, search, control, land handover

  • Maintaining constant readiness of personnel and equipment.

  • Search and detection of munitions.

  • Transfer of explosive ordnance to authorized bodies for disposal.

  • Internal quality control of operations.

  • Occupational safety and medical support.

  • Recording and reporting of results.

  • External quality control by authorized bodies.

  • Handover of cleared land to final beneficiaries.
