Demining of Water Areas

The International Service Demining carries out humanitarian clearance of rivers, lakes, port waters, and coastal zones contaminated with explosive remnants of war — in full compliance with IMAS and environmental standards.

Purpose and Process

Detection, identification, recovery/destruction of explosive ordnance

  • Preliminary survey using echo sounders, sonar, and drones.

  • Risk mapping and defining hazardous zones.

  • Diver operations: underwater cameras and metal detectors.

  • Recovery, transportation, or neutralization of explosive ordnance on site.

  • Quality control of the cleared water area.
